The art of construction has been embedded into our genealogy throughout the course of time. Since the most primitive shelters constructed at the dawn of mankind, to the great pyramids of Giza - built over 4 and a half thousand years ago – we move into the modern day. Phenomenal feats of engineering, such as the Khalifa Tower in Dubai, the Three Gorges Dam - China, or France’s Millau Viaduct – the tallest, most elegant bridge to date, are all accomplishments which spring to mind when I consider how far humankind has come in their quest to construct.

This industry-wide shake up has left many scrabbling to conform, and whilst many larger organisations have managed to filter it in, and some smaller companies have shoehorned it into practice, here at TDS Midlands, we have put our feet up safe in the knowledge that we have been BIM compliant for over 4 years.

Guy's and St. Thomas Cancer Centre, London

In 2004, the Cancer Programme was launched at Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital Trust in collaboration with King’s College London. In 2010 a brand new Cancer Treatment Centre was commissioned. The Cancer Centre at Guy’s will bring together all oncology services from across Guy’s and St Thomas hospital, integrating research and treatment services within the same building.
