TDS4 | Architects & Consulting Engineers

The earlier you engage us the better value we can create for all concerned

Working with some of the world’s finest architect and engineering practices TDS have always been at the forefront of added value design services. With the increase in digital demands we feel ever closer to the ultimate client by offering advice earlier in the design process that allows the architect and engineer to concentrate on other areas of the project.

As BIM and DFMA becomes more common practice we are offering a more rounded and complete package allowing the supply chain to make better decisions about who they should partner with for fabrication. By working with TDS we enable our partners to gain access to fabricators easier and earlier.Full drawing packages are completed with less design creep giving total transparency to quote jobs effectively and efficiently.

Dorchester Hotel - 45 Park Lane London

TDS were delighted to be commissioned to work on the world famous Dorchester Hotel, London, in 2010. Working alongside Littleman Contracts and London based Architects Paul Davies & Partners, TDS designed, developed and detailed all of the stainless steel external cladding as well as the new canopy cladding to the stunning entrance area.

5 Hanover Square, London

Working in collaboration with Squire & Partners Architects for client Stanhope, TDS designed, developed and detailed a series of double sloped panel support frames to the roof of an existing building in the heart of London. As far back as 2011 we were utilising BIM techniques including the production of a data rich 3D model for the structure which was utilised by the wider design team to ensure that all roof top plant and equipment would not clash with the new support structure.

Avonmouth Bridge, Bristol

Working in collaboration with The Highways Agency and Mott McDonald, TDS were engaged to design, develop and detail a series of walkways and crows nests along the length of the Avonmouth Bridge which spans the River Avon. All work completed was BIM Level 2 compliant with full manufacturing information as the ultimate output.

Salford Arch

TDS were successful in winning the Salford Arch advertising structure project – the first purpose built digital advertising arch in Britain. A complex engineering project – an 18m high arch spanning 38m across the M602 with 200m2 of advertising space, we provided the initial conceptual drawings along with a full design and manufacturing package to enable the accurate fabrication and installation of this iconic structure which is seen by more than 80,000 people a day.

20 Fenchurch Street, London, ‘The Walkie Talkie’

TDS were proud to work on this iconic building that dominates the London Skyline. Initially engaged to design, develop and detail a series of hanging access platforms within the roof structure, we were also later engaged to work on the east and west stair handrails within the impressive Sky Garden which overlooks the city.
