Tekla Structures is intelligent 3D modelling software that produces 3D models containing accurate, reliable and detailed information suitable for manufacture and construction execution. Structural Engineers can now design from scheme design through to detailed in both steel and concrete, all in the same software.  One single model will cover all structural analysis and design requirements encompassing both gravity and lateral systems.  Tekla Structural Designer offers completely transparent analysis results so design forces and deflections can be explored and all calculations viewed giving total confidence in the design results.

Tekla Tedds is powerful software that automates repetitive structural calculations.  Offering calculation libraries or the ability to create your own, the structural calculations can easily be combined with 2D frame analysis.  Tekla Tedds also creates customizable documents to show structural calculations, sketches and notes.

33 Finsbury Square, University of Liverpool

Working in collaboration with Smok Architects and Overbury, TDS were appointed to design, develop and detail two feature staircases on this fantastic project which set out to revitalize a landmark building and create a new world class higher education establishment in the heart of London.


20 Fenchurch Street, London, ‘The Walkie Talkie’

TDS were proud to work on this iconic building that dominates the London Skyline. Initially engaged to design, develop and detail a series of hanging access platforms within the roof structure, we were also later engaged to work on the east and west stair handrails within the impressive Sky Garden which overlooks the city.


Salford Arch

TDS were successful in winning the Salford Arch advertising structure project – the first purpose built digital advertising arch in Britain. A complex engineering project – an 18m high arch spanning 38m across the M602 with 200m2 of advertising space, we provided the initial conceptual drawings along with a full design and manufacturing package to enable the accurate fabrication and installation of this iconic structure which is seen by more than 80,000 people a day.


University of Oxford China Centre

The University of Oxford has been regarded as Europe’s leading centre for the study of China for some time. TDS were delighted to work on this beautiful building which was a Civic Trust Awards - Regional 2016 Finalist. TDS designed, developed and detailed the architectural metalwork for this project including the stunning lift shaft with wrap around feature helical staircase.


Bath Spa University, Green Park House

TDS were delighted to work in conjunction with Berkley Homes and Stride Treglown Architects to deliver 461 room pods for a new student accommodation scheme in the heart of the historic spa city of Bath. The volumetric system consisted of a mixture of both cold rolled and hot rolled steel structures and enabled the project to benefit from offsite construction ensuring the project was delivered on time and in budget.


Building 7, Chiswick Park, London

Chiswick Park was TDS’ first fully integrated BIM construction project working in conjunction with Stanhope and Lend Lease. TDS designed, developed and modelled 3 external escape stairs and an internal staircase consisting of 108 flights in total. In addition we were also engaged to provide all of the room perimeter balustrades. One of the key benefits to this project was the ability to collaborate by exporting and then integrating our models into a master project model that highlighted any potential clashes or design discrepancies. All BIM work was compliant to LOD400 (American based CASE ran the BIM requirements for the project).


Dorchester Hotel - 45 Park Lane London

TDS were delighted to be commissioned to work on the world famous Dorchester Hotel, London, in 2010. Working alongside Littleman Contracts and London based Architects Paul Davies & Partners, TDS designed, developed and detailed all of the stainless steel external cladding as well as the new canopy cladding to the stunning entrance area.


Belmouth Passage – Canary Wharf

This striking footbridge in the heart of London's Canary Wharf was completed using the latest Building Information Modelling Software, Tekla Structures.


Castle House - Venturi Wind Turbine Cladding

This iconic and striking addition to the London Skyline provided TDS with numerous challenges. We were commissioned to design and detail the elliptical cladding to the wind turbines which provide a striking and visible feature to this infamous building.


Royal Observatory - Helical Feature Staircase

The 2 storey helical staircase with 10mm combined stringer / balustrade detail is an outstanding feature at the Royal Observatory in the Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
